STCW Security Awareness Training Course (SA)
For those that do not have a designated security duty assigned to them. Ideal for those new to the industry.
Description
This half day course will cover the following:
- The importance of ship security and the roles involved in its provision
- The requirements and measures to maintain ship security
- How to report a security threat
The course will include videos, group discussion and trainer led presentations.
Certification
Delegates will be required to successfully complete a short exam paper to test their understanding. A Certificate of Proficiency in Security Awareness; Regulation VI/6, paragraph 1 and Section A-VI/6, paragraphs 4 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended will then be issued.
