STCW Updated Fast Rescue Boats - Route 1 (R1UFRB)

This half day course is for those who have maintained the required standard of competence by onboard training and experience and wish to undergo updating training in Fast Rescue Boats as per the MNTB annex E (iii)

Description

This course will consist of theory and a waterborne cap-size scenario in our Survival Pool.

Special Requirements

This course will include a waterborne cap-size in our Survival Pool.

PPE will be provided but please bring your Swimwear & Towel.  Showers are provided.

Prerequisites

  • - Hold a Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats certificate
  • - Delegates must confirm by the signing and completing the self declaration form that they have completed the below through onboard training
  • - This course will include a waterborne cap-size and re-boarding scenario in our Survival Pool which you will need to demonstrate unaided to pass.  Casualty recovery will involve a 35kg Ruth Lee manikin.

NOTE: Due to the physically demanding nature of this course you will be required to complete a Fitness Declaration form on the day to make us aware of any medical issues, injuries or disabilities.  This form will be shared with the trainers for awareness.  If you have any concerns regarding fitness please contact us to discuss further. 

 

Certification

Delegates will be required to successfully complete the practical exercised in order to be issued with an MCA approved STCW Updated Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats certificate: Regulation VI/2, paragraph 2 and section A-VI/2, paragraph 11 and 12 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978 as amended.
