Shipboard Safety Officer Training (SBSO)

This 3-day course is designated personnel to take up the role of Safety Officer on board ship, as identified in the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Health and Safety at Work) Regulations 1997 (SI 1997 No. 2962)

Advanced Ship Handling (Conventional or Podded Propulsion)

This 5-day course provides practical ship handling training using Conventional Propulsion during vessel operations under abnormal or emergency conditions.

Breathing Apparatus Refresher (BAR)

Tailored to the clients needs, this 1 Day course focusses on refreshing the breathing apparatus wearer in the safe and effective use of breathing apparatus.

Bridge Simulation Assessments

This 1-day assessment provides an initial assessment of technical and non-technical skills and competence expected for the rank.

Damage Control (DC)

GROUP BOOKINGS ONLY - The UK’s first commercially operated damage control module for the shipping industry. The module has been specifically designed to provide crew with a real life experience, with sufficient water flow and pressures whilst in a safe training environment. This is used in conjunction with the command and safety centre with full CCTV in operation throughout.

Designated Person Ashore (DPA)

The course is aimed at individuals, newly promoted Designated Person(s) and current Designated Person(s) role holders who are required to update their training through continued professional development (CPD).
