Description
The Advanced Rescue course is designed to provide individuals with the essential skills and confidence required to rescue fellow workers from height, addressing critical scenarios where a worker has fallen and is left in suspension, or has become incapacitated in an area of limited access.
Successful completion of this training offers practical, industry-proven solutions to these challenging situations while ensuring that both moral and legal safety obligations are fully met. Beyond hands-on rescue operations, candidates will also learn how to support employers in the development and practical application of robust site rescue plans, providing work locations with effective, compliant emergency response strategies
Course Objectives (2 Day Advanced)

Deploy advanced rescue techniques effectively, including the safe and correct use of stretchers, deviations, and tensioned lines.

Respond rapidly and safely to emergency scenarios involving suspended or incapacitated casualties in areas of limited access at height.

Assist and support employers in the development, implementation, and practical application of comprehensive workplace rescue plans.

Evaluate site-specific risks at height to ensure all rescue solutions meet current moral, corporate, and legal compliance standards.
Certification
Valid for 3 years.
Prerequisites
A valid WINDA ID
If Refreshing:
A valid GWO Advanced Rescue Training or GWO Advanced Rescue Training Refresher Certificate
