Description
The aim of this module is to enable participants to recognise the signs and symptoms of life-threatening situations and administer safe and effective first aid within the wind turbine industry.
Course Objectives:

Recognise the signs and symptoms of life-threatening medical conditions specific to a wind turbine environment.

Administer safe, immediate, and effective first aid to preserve life and stabilise casualties.

Use primary first aid equipment and apply emergency techniques correctly to prevent further injury.

Manage an emergency situation efficiently and communicate clearly until the casualty can be handed over to professional medical services.
Prerequisites
A valid WINDA ID
If Refreshing:
A valid GWO First Aid or GWO First Aid Refresher Certificate
Certification
Valid for 2 years.
If your current GWO First Aid certificate is still valid, you can attend the refresher course instead (0.5days)
