GWO BSTR – Sea Survival Refresher
Duration: 1 day (there will be refreshment breaks and 1hr lunch break each day. Hot and cold beverages provided)

Prerequisites: All delegates need to be registered with WINDA - https://winda.globalwindsafety.org and have valid Basic Safety Training or Basic Safety Training Refresher certificates registered on their account. A basic level of fitness is required to complete the practical elements of the course. There is no pre-learning required.
This BSTR Sea Survival Module is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills through open questions and practical training. Delegates shall be able to act safely and take the correct preventive actions in all aspects of offshore operations from shore to installation vessel or WTG, and vice versa, both during normal operation and in an emergency in an offshore wind turbine environment.
The course will include videos, group discussions, trainer led presentations and practical demonstrations with sea survival equipment, using emergency equipment, transferring between boat and monopile and understanding emergencies at sea.
Delegates will be assessed throughout the course with a short, written exam upon completion.
Trainer to delegate ratio of 1:12 for theory elements and 3:12 for practical sessions.
Upon completion of the course you will be presented with the original certificate.
This course is Module 5 of the minimum GWO basic safety training refresher requirements. The following courses can be booked individually:

- GWO Fire Awareness (0.5 days)
- GWO Working at Height (1 day)
