GWO BSTR – Manual Handling
Duration: 0.5 days (there will be refreshment breaks and hot and cold beverages provided)

Prerequisites: All delegates need to be registered with WINDA - https://winda.globalwindsafety.org and have valid Basic Safety Training or Basic Safety Training Refresher certificates registered on their account. A basic level of fitness is required to complete the practical elements of the course. There is no pre-learning required.
The aim of this Module is to encourage positive Manual Handling behaviour and train delegates ability to perform Manual Handling tasks in a safe manner in the wind turbine industry/environment.
The course will include videos, group discussions, trainer led presentations and practical demonstrations of manual handling techniques with a variety of different objects and props.
Delegates will be assessed throughout the course with a short, written exam upon completion.
Trainer to delegate ratio of 1:12 throughout.
Upon completion of the course you will be presented with the original certificate.
This course is Module 2 of the minimum GWO basic safety training refresher requirements. The following courses can be booked individually:
- GWO First Aid (1 day)
- GWO Fire Awareness (0.5 day)
- GWO Working at Heights (1 day)
- GWO Sea Survival (1 day)
