GWO BST – Working at Height

Prerequisites: All delegates need to be registered with WINDA- https://winda.globalwindsafety.org

A basic level of fitness is required to complete the practical elements of the course. There is no pre-learning required.

Course Overview:

The aims of this course shall give the participants the necessary basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to use basic PPE and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment in accordance with BST Module Working at Heights.

The course will include videos, group discussions, trainer led presentations and practical demonstrations of working at height equipment, time spent using the equipment and rescue demonstrations.

Delegates will be assessed throughout the course with a short, written exam upon completion.

Trainer to delegate ratio of 1:12 for theory elements and 1:4 for practical sessions.

Upon completion of the course you will be presented with the original certificate.

This course is Module 4 of the minimum GWO basic safety training requirements. The following courses can be booked individually:

  • GWO First Aid (2 days)
  • GWO Manual Handling (0.5 day)
  • GWO Fire Awareness (0.5 days)
  • GWO Sea Survival (1.5 days)

We can arrange flights from anywhere in the world, local accommodation and even airport transfers for course delegates.
