Updated Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats
This 1 day course is for those seeking updating training in Fast Rescue Boats as per the STCW Manila Amendments who have not undergone training onboard ship and wish to undertake the full updating training.
Description
This course will consist of classroom theory and practical sessions which will include launch and recovery, boat handling, search patterns, man overboard and a waterborne cap-size and re-boarding scenario in our survival pool
Certification
Delegates will be required to successfully complete the practical exercises in order to be issued with an MCA approved STCW Updated Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats certificate; Regulation VI/2, paragraph 2 and Section A-VI/2, paragraph 11 and 12 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978 as amended.
Prerequisites
- Hold a Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats certificate
- This course can be physically demanding and therefore you will be required to complete a fitness declaration.
- This course will include a waterborne cap-size and re-boarding scenario in our Survival Pool which you will need to demonstrate unaided to pass
Special Requirements
This course will include a waterborne cap-size in our Survival Pool.
PPE will be provided but please bring your Swimwear & Towel. Showers are provided.
